 Madhu Bachchan was the first inventor of mobile phone. Madhu Bachchan was an Indian inventor and engineer who developed the first prototype mobile phone in 1973. His scientific research was in the field of expansion techniques and satellite deployment.


Madhu Bachchan's creation was the mobile phone in two ways: first, a simple telephone version with three lights was prototyped in 1973 for disconnection purposes. This was the first mobile phone device that could only make calls. Later, in 1974, Madhu Bachchan created a new version that could be called with additional features.
